Karoo child

I am still in the art class here in France. I can say that I am enjoying the art, but if my french has improved? …don’t think so. : )

A friend took photographs of the people in a small Karoo town in South Africa and was kind enough to let me use them.

Old charcoal sketches

I was sorting some shelves yesterday and found these charcoal sketches. They all come from my art classes at Bellville art center a few years ago. You had to finish a certain amount of pencil sketches (mostly shells) and then you moved on to charcoal.

Franci

Franci is the performer in this family. That’s why she’s always the model for a painting. Well.. the only willing model!
