Le Géant des Beaux Arts is a wonderful, really big art shop in Paris. They have a monthly art competition on their Facebook page. For November the theme is ‘rêve’, dream.
This was what I came up with. Everyone dreams of visiting Paris, and maybe the Eiffel Tower is dreaming of seeing the world. : ) How would we know…
It’s not a great piece of art, only a fun project, with which I will most probably not win the box of pens. : ) I’ll just go buy it myself.
Pen and felt pens.
When you take up a painting again that’s been sitting on the easel for two years, you sometimes wonder if you should finish it or just start all over again. This one I started more than two years ago… and at last its done.
I almost started all over. The picture stayed the same, but then I used the strangest blues and greens. I think I bought new paint at that time and just wanted to use it. Now I am back at my usual sap green and french ultramarine and like it more. Well, the river still has a minty touch, which I will leave like that… : )

I made this painting a month or two ago. I didn’t post it then, because it was Juliet’s special message to Wayne. But I think it will be ok to share it with you now.
They are two lovely people from our church. If you have been to our church once, you will know Wayne, because he will be the one greeting you at the door with a special hug.
They went through a difficult time beginning of this year. (No need to feel sad, because God has provided for them and everything is well again…) Juliet described this picture to me and asked me to paint it for Wayne.
I have only painted little girls, so it was difficult for me to paint a man, but here it is. It has special meaning to them and it was more special for me to give it to them.
Glynnis had the picture and I’ve put the paint on canvas!
I met Glynnis as the superintendent of our Sundayschool. She has done this for years and is now taking a well-deserved break. We all remember the concerts she organized with our kids as the actors. Thank you, Glynnis!!
…I don’t think she would want me to write about her… : ) And not that I’m good with words anyway…
So I won’t tell you what a lovely lady she is. No, I won’t. I could tell you that she has been studying for the last how many years. And that was not as a full-time student! No, she studied while working and caring for her sons and everything woman with houses are supposed to do! Soon she will finish her masters degree. I should not tell you what a beautiful person she is, she won’t like that… But she is, on the outside and on the inside.
Glynnis, I pray for you to be the girl on the swing. Secure and filled with joy!
Yes, its holiday, my corner ‘studio’ is organized and I am painting…
While I am still busy, I will post this painting that I did a while back. Never signed it, because I did not know whether it was finished. Still wanted to do some small trees on the hills. Or perhaps it is finished. Some ideas?
‘I’m on … top of the world, looking… down on creation…’
